Crews rescue woman trapped in Stone Mountain fire

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA (CBS46) -

A woman was trapped inside a burning Stone Mountain home on Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out around 6:30 a.m. on Stonehaven Way.

Firefighters removed a wheelchair-bound woman in her 60s. She was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

A man was also taken to the hospital. It is unclear in what condition he is in.

A DeKalb fire spokesman says both victims suffered smoke inhalation. Both lived at the home.

There were six people in the home when the fire broke out, including a two-year-old child. The child was not hurt.
