ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Visitors to parks in the city of Sandy Springs will no longer be able to light up.

On Wednesday, the City Council approved an amendment to its smoking ordinance banning smoking and the use of tobacco products in city parks.

"Our parks are public spaces. Everyone, in particular our children, should have the opportunity to enjoy these outdoor, natural areas without the worry of taking in second-hand smoke," said Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul.

This ban also includes e-cigarettes.
