Two arrests have been made in the death of a 9-month-old DeKalb County baby.
At an 11 a.m. news conference, authorities announced that Devin Thomas, 18, and Marco Watson, 36, have been arrested in the death of Dekalb County 9-month-old Kendarius Edwards.
"We're not going to tolerate this kind of western-style mentality of you just go out and shoot people recklessly just out of how you felt that particular day," said Chief Cedric Alexander with the Dekalb County Police Department.
Reward money is still being offered for information leading to their conviction.
The two men were already in jail on unrelated charges.
DeKalb County authorities are not sure if the baby was targeted as part of a retaliation but they "suspect very strongly" this was retaliation for other shootings.
The baby was shot three to four times at point-blank range in a Stone Mountain-area home invasion on May 10. Three women were also shot in the home invasion.
"Looking at Devin Thomas his reactions show no signs of remorse to me. It looks like the act of a real coward," said Tracy Smith, the grandmother of the baby killed.
CBS46.com will have more information as it becomes available.
