APPLING CO., GA (WTOC) -

An Appling County man wants to withdraw his plea and is asking for a trial after pleading guilty to felony murder charges.

Jonathan Courson is charged in the murder of his wife, Mandy, which happened back in January 2013.

Courson tried to fake a home invasion claiming that two men broke into their Appling County home in order to throw investigators off his trail and cover up the crime.

In May 2014, Courson was sentenced to life in prison with a possibility of parole by Judge E. M. Wilkes.

The judge will hear his arguement on the withdrawl of his plea and the possibility of a trial on June 17th.
