An ammonia leak sent four people to the hospital.
It happened Monday at about 8:15 a.m. at Koch Foods on Industrial Boulevard in Gainesville. The company processes poultry at the facility.
According to the Gainesville Fire Department, 14 people complained about exposure to the chemical. Four people said they had difficulty breathing and burning eyes. They were taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
Crews used fans to ventilate the building.
Investigators determined the source of the leak to be a valve in a control room, but they are not sure as to what caused the valve to leak.
All employees were allowed back inside the building just after 9 a.m.
