The murder investigation of 15-year-old Jasmine Moore has been ongoing for almost to five years.
The Alma Police Dept. received new information regarding the murder after it was contacted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation on Saturday, June 7.
As a result of the new information, Alma Police Dept. investigators were able to obtain arrest warrants for Tyberious Murchinson, 22, and Deion Smith, 22.
Both men have been charged with Moore's murder.They were both 17 at the time of the murder.
Both men were arrested without incident on June 7 and are currently being held by the Bacon County Sheriff.
"This is not the end," said Alma Police Chief
Brandon Sellers. "But it is the beginning of the end. We are finally going to
start getting some closure for the family, and for all the people who have
investigated this case."
Smith was sent to Superior Court for his arraingment, and he has been denied bond.
