(POOL/CNN) - A Florida judge has denied a motion to sentence Michael Dunn before his retrial on first degree murder charges.
In February, Dunn was convicted of attempted murder.
Two years ago, Dunn shot at Marietta teen Jordan Davis and his friends after an argument over loud music at a gas station.
Davis was killed.
Dunn's lawyers argued to have his sentencing for three counts of attempted murder delayed, but Monday morning the judge denied that motion.
The first-degree murder charge in the death of Davis was declared a mistrial.
