Mosquito season is here, and in metro Atlanta, that means homeowners who haven't mosquito-proofed their yards are in for a miserable summer.
Jason Smith, one of the owners of Mr. Mister Mosquito control, said it's important to eliminate standing water, clean gutters, cut back certain foliage and mosquito-proof outdoor items such as trash cans to make sure mosquitoes no longer have an environment in which to thrive.
He cited a recent study that ranks Atlanta as the nation's worst city for mosquitoes.
Smith's mosquito-fighting techniques were featured Wednesday on Better Mornings Atlanta.
