GADSDEN, AL (WBRC) -

Gadsden police interrupted a burglary in progress after getting a call from a woman who said two men were in her downstairs apartment.

Police responded to a burglary at the College Manor Apartments in the 1400 block of Piedmont Cutoff around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 10.

The 28-year-old resident told police she had locked herself and her daughter in a bedroom upstairs, and two men were in the apartment downstairs.

Police say they found 27-year-old James Dunn near the front door and 24-year-old Amanda Cash hiding inside a vehicle outside.

They also heard someone run out of the apartment's back door, and later found 29-year-old Christopher Crunkleton in the woods nearby.

The victim's purse was found inside of the vehicle Cash was hiding in and her flat screen television was found in the woods. The mother and daughter were not harmed.

All three suspects have been charged with first degree burglary and are being held in the Etowah County Jail without bond.

A mug shot for Crunkleton was not immediately available.
