NWS reports tornadoes in 3 N. AL counties

COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The National Weather Service said preliminary survey results confirmed an EF1 tornado touched down Monday night in Colbert County.

According to the survey, the tornado had speeds up to 95mph and was about 75 yards wide.

The NWS said the tornado track stretched from Clements Road to Wolf Springs Road into western Lawrence County. The tornado lifted on County Road 140, just west of Highway 157.

County officials said there were no injuries reported in the storm.

The National Weather Service also reported an EF-1 tornado in the Scottsboro-Hollywood area of Jackson County.
