4 arrested in Ft. Payne burglary

FORT PAYNE, AL (WAFF) -

Authorities arrested four people in connection with a burglary in Fort Payne.

Investigators said the burglary happened at a home on Scenic Drive on June 2. The homeowner reported multiple items had been stolen including several guitars, sports items, firearms, a video camera and camera equipment.

After a lengthy investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies, authorities said the stolen property was recovered in Fort Payne, Montgomery, DeKalb County, and Jackson County.

Authorities arrested Jacob Allen Lea, 34, of Fort Payne, Joshua Drew Hammonds, 25, of Fort Payne, Matthew Kevin Patterson, 25, of Henagar, and Derrick Lynn Martin, 28, of Fort Payne.

Lea, Hammonds and Patterson were each charged with two counts of third-degree burglary. Authorities charged Martin with one count of first-degree receiving stolen property.

All four suspects were transferred to the DeKalb County Jail.
