Metro Atlanta teens react to Oregon shooting, prevalence of guns in schools

DECATUR, GA (CBS46) -

Several metro Atlanta teens shared their thoughts Wednesday on the most recent deadly school shooting in Oregon and talked about the prevalence of guns in schools.

"Most of the people who are doing these shootings, people are either bullying them or doing something that they don't like," said Calvin Williams, a junior in high school.

He and five other teens said none of their schools have metal detectors, something they would like to see put in place, as well as more school resource officers.

They also said it is incredibly easy to get a gun, even for a teenager.

"Honestly there's a lot of stuff that us teenagers can get our hands on," said Williams. "Not just guns. But with a gun, those are pretty easy to get, you just gotta know somebody."
