DECATUR, GA (CBS46) -

A tree crashed into a home in DeKalb County, leaving more than 1,300 residents in the dark.

The tree toppled onto a home on Oregon Trail in Decatur late Tuesday afternoon.

No one was at the home at the time.

The large tree landed on a neighboring home as well. It also knocked down power lines and ruptured a gas line.

Georgia Power and Atlanta Gas Light are on the scene working on the problem. There are now less than 300 people without power.
