NEW YORK (WABC/CNN) - A man wrongly incarcerated for 25 years is suing New York City.
Jonathan Fleming's attorney filed a notice of claim to sue the city for $162 million on Wednesday.
Fleming was convicted of a 1989 murder and sent to prison, but he always maintained his innocence.
He was released from jail in April after a lengthy investigation confirmed authorities had the wrong man.
His attorney says Fleming is seeking compensation for the loss of wages, companionship and emotional anguish.
A New York City law department spokesman says the agency will review the claim.
