Police arrest teenager, look for 2 others after Dalton shooting

DALTON, GA (CBS46) -

Police arrested a teenager and are looking for two other men after a fatal shooting in Dalton.

According to a news release from Dalton police, authorities found a man shot, and laying in the parking lot of an apartment complex at the 200 block of Easterling Street around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday night.

Police said the man was unresponsive and later pronounced dead at Hamilton Medical Center.

According to authorities, the man killed went to the apartments with friends to purchase marijuana when something went wrong, leading to the shooting.

Police arrested 16-year-old Endy Becerra and charged him with felony murder. Authorities issued felony murder warrants for two other men, 20-year-old Marquis Tanner and 17-year-old Tywon Henderson, who were allegedly at the meeting with the victim.

Police said they also arrested a friend of the victim who was at the scene, 20-year-old Roberto Lopez, for lying to them during a police interview.
