7 Children burned at train museum

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Several children visiting a Gwinnett County train museum were burned during their trip.

The children were from a local daycare center visiting the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth Tuesday morning. While riding one of the trains, the train stack blew out hot embers. Some of which landed on the children.

Seven children received burns that were described as one or two dime-sized spots on each child. All the children, ranging in ages from 4 to 11, were treated on the scene for first- and second-degree burns.
