Many people do not have their eyes examined because they do not have insurance, while others say it is just too costly. Taking care of your vision should be one of your top priorities. No reason is a good one to not have it done when there are ways you can go about it and save money.
Going to the optometrist less often. That is, if you are not dealing with a serious condition. Just ask your optometrist about going every other year.
Shop around. If you find a better price somewhere else, it does not hurt to ask your optometrist if they will match the other price you found online. That way, you can get what you need for less money, and locally.
Use coupons. Big chains tend to offer these more often than mom and pop shops and may even honor coupons from their competition.
Bust out with your membership card for a bigger discount, like AAA.
