Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Clayton County early Friday morning.
According to a news release from Clayton County police, officers responded to a person shot call just before 5:45 a.m. at the Willow Way Apartments in College Park.
Police say they found a man and woman sitting in a Honda Passport.
According to authorities, the man had been shot in the chest, elbow and leg. He was identified as 48-year-old Bernard Afakhumhe and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman, 48-year-old Patience Afakhumhe, was not shot, but injured in the shooting.
The woman said her husband was about to take her to work when the shooting occurred, according to police.
No arrests have been made.
