HALL COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Five people were killed in a crash that occurred in Hall County Monday morning. Of those killed, two were adults, including the driver, and three were children.

The accident occurred about 10:45 a.m. Monday on Athens Highway and Oak Grove Road.

Georgia State Police are investigating the deadly accident.

GSP says the crash involved a tractor trailer and a Ford Explorer. For some unknown reason, the driver of the SUV drifted from their travel lane, crossed the concrete median and into oncoming traffic. The Explorer crashed head-on into a tractor trailer.

The 34-year-old driver, Amanda Pardue, was killed. Passengers Robbie Hollins, 53, Elli Emfinger, 2, Kayliegh Emfinger, 8, and Dalton Martin, 13, were also killed. All of the victims were from Gainesville.

The tractor trailer driver was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical and is listed as in stable condition.
