SALVADOR, BRAZIL (CNN) - It's all or nothing when USA and Belgium face off Tuesday in the knockout stage of the World Cup.

The city of Salvador is all dressed up for the showdown at 4 p.m. ET.

Some Team USA fans walking Tuesday through Pelourinho, the historic district, said they expect their team to win. Tourists wearing U.S. flag shirts guessed the U.S. could win by 2-1, 2-0 and even by more.

"I'm going to say 3-0 U.S. because Altidore is coming back," one man said.

That would be forward Jozy Altidore, who was sidelined by a strained hamstring in the team's first tournament game against Ghana.

The U.S. qualified for the knockout round after defeating Ghana 2-1, tying Portugal 2-2 and losing to Germany 1-0 in group play.

Some fans say that after two weeks, they don't know if they can stay any longer even if the U.S. does win.

"I'd love to (but) have a job to go back to," one Team USA fan said.

"I think we stay and we go with the team until they lose," said another.

Belgians are also excited for the game.

"Forget soccer; it's called football," one Belgian fan said.

At a popular market in Salvador, one can find Team USA jerseys, which are not easy to find in Brazil. They can cost up to $50.

But be careful, some shirts say Donovan on the back - as in Landon Donovan, who did not make the team this World Cup.

The players said they are excited for game.

"We're really hungry. We're not satisfied with just getting out of the group stage. We want to go far in this World Cup, and for some of the guys it's the last opportunity, so you want to make the most of it and I'm sure if we play to the best of our ability we'll get a positive result," said Clint Dempsey, forward for the U.S. team.

Team U.S.A. reached the knockout stage in the World Cup for a second consecutive tournament - the first time it has done that in the tournament's history.
