Nearly half of the U.S. said they wouldn't last a day without their cell phone, according to a survey by Bank of America.

In a report from CBS News, more than 90 percent of those surveyed said their cell phone is as important as their car or deodorant, with a lot of people also saying it's more important than coffee or the TV.

CBS News quoted a 22-year-old in Texas as saying he checks his phone at least 20 times per day.
