ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Two Americans won the men's and women's divisions in the 45th Annual AJC Peachtree Road Race.

The Men's Elite Winner was Christo Landry from Ann Arbor, Michigan. His official time was 28:25.

The Women's Elite Winner was Amy Hastings from Long Beach, California. Her official time was 32:16.

Tatyana McFadden won the women's Shepherd Center wheelchair division. Her unofficial finish time was 24:18. Krige Schabort won the men's division. His time was not immediately known.

Sixty-thousand people participated in the race, known as the world's largest 10K. Another 150,000 spectators cheered them on as they traveled from Lenox Square Mall in Buckhead to Piedmont Park in Midtown.

Many raved about the morning's cooler temperatures and clear skies, especially compared to 2013's rainy Fourth of July.

"It's really nice, not so humid, cool," said Earl Delbridge.

The race attracts people from all over the U.S. and even a few people from other countries. It also accepts athletes of all levels.

"There's a conglomeration of beginners, advanced, people who may not have run all year," said Bethany Rutledge, who was running with the Atlanta Tri-Club and Team Podium.

Boston Marathon winner Meb Keflezighi will start as the very last runner and try to pass as many participants as possible, with a goal of 22,500.

The finish line will close at Noon.
