Gwinnett County police officers are investigating a fatal shooting in unincorporated Norcross that occurred at 7 a.m. Friday.
The dispute, according to preliminary reports, involved two men and one female at Paces Crossing Apartments off Jimmy Carter Blvd. A firearm was produced during the struggle and multiple shots were fired.
According to officers, they found Tennessee native William Damron, 35, at the entrance of the apartment complex. Police believe the shooting was related to a domestic dispute between an estranged husband, wife and a third party. No charges have been filed due to self-defense claims from the third party.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
