CLAYTON COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

A man was killed after he was accidentally shot in College Park on Saturday night.

The shooting happened around 6:45 p.m. on Faith Cove.

The victim, Gerson Eusebe, 23, was shot and died on the scene.

Tequan Joseph, 23, has been charged with reckless conduct, involuntary manslaughter, possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana, and second-degree forgery.

Joseph told police Eusebe had been handling the gun that Joseph had recently purchased.

When Eusebe handed the gun back to Joseph, a few seconds later the gun "just went off" and the victim fell to the floor, according to Clayton County police.

Investigators also discovered six counterfeit $20 bills.
