All day people arrived at the Wesley Chapel branch of the DeKalb County Public Library. Unfortunately, it is still closed because of damage to their AC units after someone stole the copper piping.
"I'm not surprised that it happened but I'm very disappointed that people have to resort to such measures," library customer Joe Floyd said.
CBS46 News reporter Vince Sims has learned DeKalb County police are making progress in the case.
"We were able to do a search warrant at a residence in DeKalb and recover some air conditioning properties as well. We have a pretty good idea of who we are looking for," said Dr. Cedric Alexander, public safety director for DeKalb County police.
Five air conditioning units were recovered from the search warrant. Since it's an ongoing investigation police do not want to name who they are looking for.
In all, three churches and three libraries have had copper stolen from them.
