JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) -

Two people arrested by Johnson City Police Department this week for construction site burglaries and theft now face additional charges with Washington County Sheriff's Office.

According to a WCSO news release, Derrick Lee Conway, 23, of Jonesborough, and Madison Baylor Clark, 19, of Gray, were first arrested for the burglaries and theft by JCPD officers and information passed on by the JCPD Criminal Investigation Division has resulted in more charges in reference to Washington County incidents.

Conway and Clark are now charged with seven counts of aggravated burglary, four counts of felony vandalism and four counts of theft over $1,000.

Investigators said the pair were reportedly going around to new home construction sites taking tools and construction supplies to sell at a local flea market or returning the items to Lowes for gift cards.

Conway and Clark are being held at the Washington County Detention Center on $196,000 bond.

They were both scheduled to appear in Sessions Court Friday.

Derrick Conway and Madison Clark are now each charged with five counts of aggravated burglary, three counts of theft over $1,000, two counts of theft under $500, burglary, theft over $1,000, burglary, theft over $1,000, aggravated burglary and theft of property over $1,000.

Conway and Clark reportedly admitted to entering a house under construction at 1574 Becky Drive, and two other homes under construction at 82 Galway Court and 4 Periwinkle Court where multiple items were stolen.

Both were reportedly being held on $145,000 bond, pending their appearance in Sessions Court Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

Johnson City Police Department officers arrested two people Tuesday, who were allegedly involved in construction site burglaries.

According to the report, police arrested Derrick Conway, 23, 248 Crookshanks Road in Jonesborough, and Madison Clark, 19, 104 Silkwood Court in Gray.

Investigators arrested Conway and Clark for their connection with construction site burglaries at 643 Claude Simmons Road.

Conway and Clark were developed as suspects following their July 4 arrest for breaking into a construction site at 215 Sanctuary Court. Light fixtures taken from the Claude Simmons address were reportedly found in their vehicle.

According to the release, Conway and Clark admitted to police that they entered the house under construction at 643 Claude Simmons Road on two different occasions and took several thousand dollars in hardwood flooring, electrical fixtures and faucets.

Police said the stolen items were found in a storage building in Boones Creek.

Conway and Clark were each charged with two counts of burglary and theft over $1,000.

Both were taken to the Washington County Detention Center and were being held on $40,000 bond each.

Conway and Clark were both scheduled to appear in Session Court Wednesday at 9 a.m.
