Henrico teen's shark story is a whale of a tale

Posted: Updated:

A Henrico teenager caught what he described as a 7-foot tiger shark in the surf. The line snapped, and that's when Ryan Angel, 15, jumped into the water and tried to pull it to the beach by the tail.

Angel, a student at Deep Run High School, said, "I just dropped my fishing pole and, like, I was trying to get someone else to do it, but I just dropped it and ran after it and tried grabbing it. My mom was just yelling."

This isn't the first, or even the biggest shark Angel has caught. He said while on a vacation to Florida, he caught a lemon shark that was bigger than this one.
