Investigators are right now trying to figure out if an arsonist is on the loose in one Atlanta neighborhood. A house in the 200 block of Joseph E. Lowry Street caught fire around 3 Wednesday morning. CBS 46 News caught up with the woman who discovered the blaze.
"I was walking past right before daybreak, and I heard some loud popping, and I seen smoke coming out the side of the house," witness Demetria Fowler said.
CBS 46 News reporter Vince Sims discovered there have been three abandoned house fires in just the last five days. The arson division is investigating. But they can't say if the fires are related. This is concerning to people living in the area.
"It could catch somebody else's just like that one that was burning yesterday up there. All it had to do was hit that store and then would have been a chain reaction on the houses going on up," neighbor Ronald Cullins said.
