FULTON COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office introduced a new K-9 to its unit Wednesday.

Deputy Kojack was recited the oath of office at 11 a.m., according to a news release from the department.

Kojack is a 2-year-old Belgium malinois from Holland who is trained in criminal apprehension, narcotic detection and tracking, according to the news release.

"He has an excellent temperament and very high drive to work," said Sgt. Corey Henry, who is Kojack's handler.

Kojack replaces K-9 Marco, who was euthanized in January after being diagnosed with terminal canine cancer.
