A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for Thursday afternoon at a new dog-friendly restaurant in Brookhaven.
Lucky's Burger & Brew is the first and only burger restaurant in the Town Brookhaven shopping center, and it has the only dog-friendly patio.
This is the second restaurant opened by owners Ernie and Diane Geyer, who named the restaurants after their Golden Retriever Lucky. The menu is the same as the one at the original Lucky's in Roswell.
The menu includes the Grim Reaper, a giant burger that boasts a four-pound, all-beef patty, a pound of bacon, a half-dozen fried eggs, an order of onion rings and American cheese, stacked and layered in a specially-made bun. If you eat the Grim Reaper all by yourself in one sitting, you get it for free.
"You also get a $250 gift card, as if you didn't have enough burger in you," said Chef/General Manager Ted Lescher. "You get a free t-shirt, and you get a free ride to the hospital."
Lucky's was featured Thursday on Better Mornings Atlanta.
