FedEx guard who was shot released from hospital

ATLANTA (CBS46) -

A spokesperson from Wellstar Kennestone hospital confirmed to CBS46 that the security guard shot during a rampage at the FedEx facility in Kennesaw in April, has been released. They say Chris Sparkman left the hospital Thursday.

Sparkman was badly injured after 19-year-old Geddy Kramer shot the guard in his stomach, ripping through his abdomen and intestines. He underwent several surgeries.

He suffered an infection, but was able to bounce back and start walking again.

In all, six people were shot at the FedEx facility. The gunman took his own life.
