ATLANTA (CBS46) -

The Car and Bike Show at the Georgia World Congress Center abruptly ended Saturday evening and left 10 people injured after attendees thought they heard gunfire.

Around 8:05 p.m., doors to the building burst open and throngs of people spilled outside onto Northside Drive to escape what they thought was a shooting.

Investigators said they never found evidence any shots were fired, but they indicated there was a fight on the exhibit floor just before someone thought they heard gunfire.

The news caused panic among people which caused a stampede. Ten people were treated for minor injuries sustained in the chaos.

The incident is under investigation by the GWCCA Police Department.
