Gwinnett County police are looking for shooters who fired bullets into a home on Trotters Pointe Drive early Monday, wounding a man.
A woman called police saying her fiancé was shot. Investigators determined that several people in a four-door styled pickup truck pulled up to a home in the 2900 block. They fired into the structure. One of the bullets struck a sleeping man in his back.
The victim is in his early 40s. He was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville. He is expected to survive according to police.
Investigators do not believe the shooting was random, however, the victim does not appear to have been the target. There were several people in the home at the time of the shooting.
No arrests were made at the scene. Police are investigating the incident. They are looking for a dark-colored vehicle, possibly black or maroon. Copyright 2014 WGCL-TV (Meredith Corporation). All rights reserved.
