ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Two people have been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run which critically injured a man in Atlanta in June.

Cyclist Greg Germani was critically injured when he was intentionally run down by the driver of a red Dodge Nitro on June 9, according to Officer John Chafee with Atlanta police.

Shanelle Woodard, 22, turned herself in to police and was charged with tampering with evidence Wednesday, the same day warrants were issued for her and Joseph Alan Lewis.

At 2:39 a.m. Thursday, Lewis, 19, turned himself in and was booked into the Fulton County Jail.

Lewis has been charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault, first degree criminal damage to property, aggressive driving, serious injury by vehicle and reckless driving.

Lewis and Woodard both had bond hearings on Thursday.

Lewis was not granted bail and Woodard's bail was set at $15,000. She left the courtroom sobbing.

"I didn't do anything. I didn't do anything," Woodard said.

Her attorney had asked for a lower bond stating Woodard was a junior at Agnes Scott College.

People in the neighborhood where this all happened are glad someone has been arrested.

"We got him and he is, I hope he is going away for a long time," neighbor Lee Scott said. "I know he is young and he probably didn't realize what he was doing, but that is no excuse. You don't get so mad at someone that you run them down," she added.
