Vince Sims is an EMMY Award winning journalist who joined CBS46 in June 2014.
Vince has worked as a reporter and anchor in Louisiana and Oklahoma. He last worked in Pittsburgh, PA, before joining the CBS46 team as a reporter. Vince likes covering stories that help change people's lives.
"When I report a story that impacts someone's life, or helps them in some positive way, I get a sense of pride and accomplishment," said Vince. "It's a good feeling."
Vince is happy to be in Atlanta and back to his southern roots.
Vince is originally from Arkansas and graduated from the University of Central Arkansas. He received his degree in Mass Communications with a minor in Journalism.
Vince loves volunteering his time to serve as emcee for many nonprofit organizations. He also speaks regularly to different church groups, and organizations about his job and the challenges that come with it.
Vince also takes time to visit many schools, speaking to children about the importance of an education. He stresses to young people that their surroundings don't define their future. Vince grew up on an agriculture and cattle farm in rural Arkansas, where he never imagined he'd one day be on television keeping people informed about what's happening in their community.
When he's not at work you can find Vince, his wife, and son out and about in the community exploring and enjoying all Atlanta has to offer. He enjoys dining out, playing tennis, playing pool, swimming and just socializing with friends. His weird hobby is collecting matchbooks.
