Judge approves $2 billion sale of Clippers

(CNN) - The judge presiding over Sterling v. Sterling has ruled in favor of Donald Sterling's estranged wife Shelly.

She was suing for control the family trust, claiming Donald Sterling is mentally incapable of making decisions on his own.

Shelly Sterling can now sell the Los Angeles Clippers to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for $2 billion without Donald Sterling's sign-off.

Donald sterling has a counter-suit pending against his wife and the NBA.

The league ordered the sale of the team after his recorded racist remarks to a companion were made public.
