TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson Police responded to the Prince and Stone area on Thursday afternoon for a suspected domestic violence dispute between a father and son that a caller said involved bats and a machete.

Police arrived in the 100 block of E. Prince Road around 3 p.m. and found people outside of a home who matched the descriptions given by callers, according to TPD Sgt. Chris Widmer.

Widmer said police talked with a group of people who got aggressive and started to fight police. Police allegedly pepper sprayed several people, then a dog came out of the home and bit two officers who were treated on scene. The dog ran off and was found under a car. Animal control reportedly took the dog.

Several people were detained but no charges were filed. The investigation is ongoing.
