Atlanta, Fulton residents get into zoo for free

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Atlanta and Fulton County residents can enjoy Atlanta's zoo for free this weekend.

Zoo Atlanta is hosting City of Atlanta and Fulton County Family Days on Saturday and Sunday. People can use a driver's license, state-issued voter identification document or utility bill to prove residence and gain free entry.

People who work for the city of Atlanta or the Fulton County government can also visit the zoo for free during the event. They simply need to show a city or county government employee identification card.

Free admission is valid for two adults and up to four children per family.

The zoo says the event has been well-attended in the past and that people should prepare for crowds.
