TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -  The Pima County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in an attempted robbery of a convenience store on August 17, 2014.

According to a PCSD release, the suspect entered the AM/PM at 2891 W. Valencia Road, some time around 4:55 a.m. and wandered around for a while before approaching the counter.  The convenience store clerk told deputies the suspect then approached the counter and put his hands behind his back, allegedly demanding all the money from the register, the clerk refused.

The clerk told deputies during his interview he thought the suspect was armed, but that he continually refused the request for the money and eventually the suspect left without taking anything.

The suspect is described as a caucasian male in his 20s, clean cut and shaven, 6' tall with short blonde or brown hair, possibly balding in front. He was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, white and black shoes and a collared shirt with horizontal orange, dark blue, light blue and white stripes.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
