ATLANTA (CBS46) -

A high-level executive at Turner Broadcasting is stepping down, according to a report from Deadline.

Michael Wright, president and head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies, is leaving Turner.

Wright has been an executive at Turner for the past 12 years.

His resignation comes months after his boss, Turner Entertainment Networks President Steve Koonin left the company.

It also comes amid talk that Turner could be planing to lay off thousands of employees. The company recently announced a voluntary buyout program for more than 500 employees.
