CBS46's Adam Murphy would like to invite you to a special dine-out next week to raise awareness and money for rare brain diseases. Murphy started his own nonprofit, Miracle For Mom, and his foundation is hosting the event at South City Kitchen Vinings on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m.

The dine-out will help raise awareness and money for those living with neurodegenerative diseases. The restaurant will donate 20 percent of their total sales that evening to finding a cure.

There will also be a silent auction at South City Kitchen Vinings that evening supporting the cause. If you plan to attend the dine-out be sure to make your reservation now with the restaurant by calling 770-435-0700 and let them know you are supporting Miracle For Mom.

Miracle For Mom is inspired by Murphy's mom, Janice, who was diagnosed with a rare degenerative brain disease known as progressive supranuclear palsy or PSP. She is currently battling the effects of the disease which impact walking, balance, mobility, vision, speech and swallowing. PSP has no known cause, treatment or cure and approximately five out of every 100,000 people will develop it in their lifetime.

Miracle for Mom is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to assisting those living with neurodegenerative brain diseases.
