A popular Atlanta disc jockey accused of hiring someone to kill his wife was arrested on Saturday.

On Monday, the Fulton County medical examiner confirmed that Tiffany Pugh was shot to death in her East Point home. Police told CBS46 reporter Dantaye Carter that they found the woman with two gunshot wounds and either could have been fatal.

Police said her husband Andre Pugh, aka "DJ Awesome," hired his best friend, Adrian Harley, to kill his wife. Police said both men have been charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Police said Tiffany Pugh's body was found inside her home on Nov. 23.

When police first talked to Andre Pugh, he told them someone had broken into his home. He said he came home to an open garage door and a broken window. Andre said he called out to his wife, but received no answer.

The incident report filed by police said as police pulled up, Andre Pugh was in the middle of the street yelling, "My kids are in there! She's not picking up the phone."

The report said after police went inside, they found two children asleep. Another small child was straddling Tiffany Pugh, who had just been shot in the head.

"The door to the bedroom was closed initially. Upon opening the door I observed a female laying on her back partially covered up by a blanket in the bed. I also observed a small child straddling the woman's chest."

Andre Pugh was arrested at Club Onyx, where he works, nearly two weeks after his wife's death.

Police said he hired Harley to kill Tiffany Pugh. A friend who attended the funeral said Harley helped carry her casket.

CBS46 reporter Frank Wiley Jr. spoke to a friend of Tiffany's who wanted to remain anonymous. That friend said that the couple was having marital problems and Tiffany planned to move out soon.

"On Facebook, it didn't seem like a grieving husband," Tiffany Pugh's friend said.

Tiffany Pugh's friend said she was always smiling and loved her children - a 2-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl.

"If he did it, I really hope he rots in Hell," her friend said. "If he did it."

Six months ago Tiffany Pugh's mother died and now her children will be raised without their mother or grandmother.

Police said Tiffany Pugh worked for Delta Air Lines.

Andre Pugh is expected to have a hearing Tuesday and Harley is scheduled in court on Dec. 22.
