Several cold blasts will make their way over North Georgia over the next seven days. A series of cold fronts will move through the area, bringing major cold Canadian air with them.

The major issue with these rounds of cold air will be the wind, and associated wind chill. It will be down to dangerous levels on Friday morning for the kids at the bus stop and for your ride into work. On Sunday, for your church plans, the wind chill will be below zero for a few hours!

Our first front moves through Thursday morning. This front will not bring any rain, only a few clouds. With the clouds it will also bring gusty winds that will produce wind chill temperatures in the 20s and 30s. The second front arrives Valentine's Day evening and this one will be much stronger and bring much colder temperatures for Sunday.

Make sure your pipes are fully protected this weekend, the antifreeze is topped off and you have a good supply of dry firewood to keep warm.
