Bobbi Kristina Brown reportedly has breathing tube replaced

Posted: Updated:

There are reports that Bobbi Kristina Brown's breathing tube has been replaced, and that could signal a move toward taking her off life support.

As family sources say, her breathing tube was replaced during a medical procedure typically performed on patients who need to be on a ventilator for days on end.

It's known as a tracheostomy tube, and the big question is whether or not the family is working toward taking her out of a medically induced coma?

Bobbi Kristina's longtime partner, Nick Gordon, continues to make a public plea to see her.

Gordon's attorneys told us "he has respected the family's wishes and for that reason alone has not returned to the hospital and risked a public confrontation. But he desperately wants to be with the one he loves and continues to hope that his request will be granted."

Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, has been in the hospital since she was found face-down, unconscious in the bathtub of her Roswell home in January.

Roswell police said that they are treating the incident as a criminal investigation.
