Bobby Brown's lawyer: 'Doctors indicated Bobbi Kristina will have long life'

Posted: Updated:

In a video posted by TMZ, Bobby Brown told a concert crowd Saturday night that Bobbi Kristina Brown has awoken from her coma.

Brown said to the audience at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas, "Bobbi is awake. She's watching me."

The crowd erupted in applause and screams when he made the announcement.

On Sunday, Bobbi Kristina's aunt, Tina Brown, posted to Facebook, "So many messages, sorry can't answer them all right now but I will get to them later.." Tina wrote. "Just allow me this time with my family,,yes, she woke up and is no longer on life support!!!!!:):)God is good!!thanks for your prayers,,still a process, but she is going to be ok:):):):)."

Tina Brown later removed the post.

Bobbi Kristina, 21, the only daughter of Brown and the late Whitney Houston, has been in a coma since January 31, when she was found face down in a bathtub.

Bobbi Kristina Brown has been moved to an undisclosed location since being released last month from Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Brown's attorney, Christopher Brown, released the following statement Monday:

“Due to the numerous requests for an elaboration of the comments made by Bobby Brown on Saturday April 18, 2015 at his concert in Texas, there is a need to clarify the reports on the condition of Bobbi Kristina,” said Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, legal counsel for Bobby Brown. “Bobbi Kristina's condition has changed since moving from Emory University Hospital and there has been improvement. Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life. However, Bobbi Kristina is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come.” Brown added.

Alicia Etheredge-Brown is making it clear that her husband Bobby Brown was in 'an emotional state' as he hit the stage of April 18th, in Grand Prarie TX, and made his statements regarding his excitement about Bobbi Kristina.

“My husband made an attempt to correct the negative comments he must endure on a daily basis from both family and the public regarding his daughter's medical condition. He is encouraged by the steps that Bobbi Kristina has made since her hospitalization on January 31, 2015. She has made it out of ICU, opened her eyes, and started a rehabilitation that will be long and hard. We will hold on to all the blessings GOD gives us to help her at this time and we look forward to her having a relationship with her unborn sister as our family grows in love and faith. I just wish my husband could deal with this most painful and difficult time with people surrounding him who fully support and pray for Bobbi Kristina's recovery and only her recovery. Life is the most precious thing that we all have,” said Alicia Etheredge-Brown.
