Silverbacks shut out, fall to Scorpions 1-0

The Atlanta Silverbacks have dropped their second straight match after being beaten by the San Antonio Scorpions, 1-0.

Omar Cummings scored the lone goal for the Scorpions in the 26th minute to pace San Antonio to victory.

Atlanta led in most statistical categories but it wasn't enough as the Scorpions moved 3 points ahead of Atlanta in the standings.

San Antonio now sits in fifth place in the NASL table with 11 points while Atlanta is in 11th place with 8 points.

The Silverbacks have a tough task ahead of them in their next match. They'll travel to Tampa to take on the second place Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium on Saturday, June 13.

Game time is 6:30 p.m.

The Silverbacks won't return home until Saturday, July 11 when they'll host the Jacksonville Armada at Silverbacks Park.
