Silverbacks scoring drought continues, shut out by Rowdies, 3-0

TAMPA, FL (CBS46) -

The Atlanta Silverbacks have yet to score a goal in the month of June after falling to the Tampa Bay Rowdies, 3-0.

Corey Hertzog started off the scoring for the Rowdies by knocking home a goal in the 60th minute.

Martin Nunez scored in the 75th minute and Georgi Hristov capped the scoring in the 89th minute as the Rowdies continued their climb to the top of the standings of the NASL.

Tampa Bay is one point behind the New York Cosmos during the Spring season.

The Silverbacks remain at the bottom of the table with 8 points. Atlanta has not scored since a victory over Chattanooga FC on May 27.

Atlanta next plays in the U.S. Open Cup when they'll travel to New York to take on the Red Bulls on June 16.

The team will not return home until July 11 when they'll host the Jacksonville Armada at Silverbacks Park.
