Roswell police investigating violent home invasion

Posted: Updated:

Roswell police are searching for two masked suspects who stormed into a home Thursday and terrorized the family inside.

The victim said his children were held at gunpoint by one of the suspects while his wife was forcibly dragged to an ATM to withdraw cash.

"I was concerned for the family," said one neighbor who did not want to be identified. "You're concerned obviously."

The victim told CBS46 his attackers claimed they hated white people. The victim added that his attackers said the home invasion was because of civil unrest in places across the country, including Ferguson, Missouri.

Thursday's home invasion on Annie Cook Way is eerily similar to another crime scene in Buckhead from earlier this month. A family was held at gunpoint inside a multi-million dollar home while one adult was taken to an ATM.

Roswell police are now investigating if the two cases are connected.

The victims in Thursday's attack were not injured.  Police have not released any sketches of the suspects and it is not clear if there is surveillance video.
