PAULDING COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Two Paulding County teenagers are being laid to rest.

Kylie Lindsey, 17, and Isabella Chinchilla, 16, died when the car they were passengers in slammed into a state trooper patrol car on Georgia Highway 27 near Holly Springs Drive in Carroll County.

It's a very emotional day for classmates of these two young girls.

Chinchilla's funeral took place at 10 a.m. Thursday morning at West Ridge Church in Dallas. About 800 people, mostly teenagers, attended.

Classmates hugged and comforted each other. Inside the church, the pastor spoke of the need to embrace life to the fullest because this tragedy is a reminder of how fragile life can be.

Afterward, the pastor shared his memories of Chinchilla, whom he personally knew through her involvement with the church.

"You know, she was just one of those young ladies who made the room more energetic and her friends more engaged just by being here," said Pastor Paul Richardson.

Lindsey's funeral will be held later in the day at the same church.

The driver, 18-year-old Dillon Wall, and another passenger, 17-year-old Benjamin Finken, survived and were taken to a hospital. Trooper Anthony Scott was treated at a hospital and released.
