Woman arrested for impersonating nurse transported to metro Atlanta jail

Posted: Updated:

A woman who was arrested for impersonating a nurse in the facility where Bobbi Kristina Brown was receiving care has been transported back to metro Atlanta.

Taiwo Soboamowo was arrested in North Carolina, but is now in the Forsyth County Jail, which is about 40 miles northeast of Atlanta.

Soboamowo was picked up in North Carolina on warrants charging her with practicing as a registered professional nurse without a license, financial identity fraud and forgery.

Police said Soboamowo worked at Peachtree Christian Hospice with Bobbi Kristina Brown while she was in hospice care.

"She was doing what nurses do for patients," said Major Down Woodruff with Duluth police.

Police said Soboamowo provided fake credentials, showing she was licensed to work as a registered nurse. She was terminated from the facility on Aug. 5 after she was unable to provide proper proof of insurance.

Soboamowo will make her first appearance Thursday morning.
